TRIP FROM FES TO MARRAKECH VIA MERZOUGA DESERT :

Travel from Fez to Marrakech on a 4-day desert tour, and spent a night beneath the stars in a traditional nomad’s tent.

DAY 1: FEZ TO IFRANE - MIDELT - ZIZ GORGES - ERFOUD - RISSANI - MERZOUGA

Your guide picks you up at your hotel in Fez in the morning. Drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains in your private air-conditioned vehicle, winding past forests, jagged rock cliffs, and Berber villages for much of the day. Stop for lunch in Midelt, then descend from the mountains and continue to the Sahara. You'll reach Merzouga in the late afternoon and have time to freshen up in the shower or swimming pool before dinner.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT EXCURSION AND CAMEL RIDE

Switch to a 4-wheel drive vehicle to drive into the towering sand dunes of the Sahara desert of Erg Chebbi. Look for black nomad’s tents that suddenly appear in the middle of nowhere, and experience nomadic life when visiting a nomadic family for tea. Later, meet the nomadic Berber people in the village of Khamliya, which appears unchanged from centuries ago. Purchase lunch either in Khamliya or at a nearby hotel. Afterward, join a camel caravan to experience the sunset in the middle of the high sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Stay overnight in a Berber camp with sweeping views of the sand and stars.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA TO TODRA GORGE AND DADES GORGES

After a Delicious Breakfast  , You’ll depart for Dades , traveling the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs that rise up like turreted sand castles along this ancient caravan trading route. This area has long been a popular location for Hollywood films such as The Last Temptation of Christ, Jewel of the Nile, and most recently Hideous Kinky. The central region is one of the most exciting and romantic destinations of Morocco nestled along rich river valleys, palmeries and burnished mud-brick homes ablaze in vibrant color under the shelter of the blue desert sky. We stop for lunch and walk in todra gorge , We’ll travel through the Dadès Valley past dramatic escarpments,Dinner and overnight in the Hotel .

DAY 4: DADES TO OUARZAZATE THEN AIT BEN HADDOU AND FINISH IN MARRAKECH

After breakfast we will visit Ouarzazate,including  the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios movie studios, the largest and most famous of all Africa. we stop in Ait ben haddou   Here we can visit the famous Kasbah, declared UNESCO World Heritage and which was the scene of films like The Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia,we coutinue passing through  the High Atlas and  the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, along a road that climbs from the plains up to 2260 m above sea level passing through small villages, small waterfalls, through the continuously changing landscape and colors of these beautiful Mountains.we drop you, off in your Hotel.

Departure and return time on request of client , but usually we will start our desert tour in the morning and we return back on last day at around 7pm, we drop you off at your hotel.
